Being a world premiere, In Vain had several moving attributes, elements, and adventures. As we workshopped through numerous versions of the show with the author and composer of the piece, I had the experience of scheduling actors for filming outside of rehearsal time. As all of our actors and filming crew were students, this made for an exciting puzzle that, as a theatrical stage manager, I got to experience for the first time.
